My bedroom project is progressing very well. So far I've purchased all of my new bedroom furniture. Might I add the cost of it was very pleasing. I spent $700 on a new bed, TV stand, desk, bookcase, dresser, and a few minor bedroom accessories. My furniture should arrive by the end of this week or early next week. I can't wait!!
Project list:
get new curtains
new bedsheets
buy frames
add bookshelves
replace carpet
order new window blinds
buy new furniture
paint the walls a different color
change light fixture
updated bedroom accessories
Let me tell you, redecorating is a lot of work! I just finished packing up maybe 65% of the stuff in my room. I had to move some of my belongings up into the attic in order to make room for new furniture arriving. Also I'm getting rid of the old stuff...so there's a lot of work to be done. I still need to move all of my electronics, boy that's going to be fun. I'm going to have my brother's do all of the technical things for me like removing cords and rearranging them all into one station. I have my DVD player, VCR(yes....VCR), and PS2 and the thing with them that bugs is that fact that every time I want to switch over from the DVD to the PS2...I personally have to remove some cords and plug it into some other outlet which is a pain! So when I get my new TV stand, my brother can hook it up for me into one convenient station. That sounds nice, eh? =]
Before I end tonight's post, I would like to say that I've received quite a few phone calls about new job opportunities. So far, they're all places that I've never even remotely consider....but we'll see. My time spent working for my Aunt is almost coming to and end and in a way it's kind of bitter sweet. Just about 2 weeks left! I'm counting down! It's been a stressful work environment but all in all it gave my resume a nice clean polished look to it.
XOXO

Title: So here's the story with my phone... She Wrote:
Ok, so I recently purchased a new phone. Little did I know that I needed to upgrade my SIM card from 2G to 3G. The a-hole at AT&T did not inform me of that when I purchased my new phone. The phone worked for a week or so but then there was something wrong with my voice mail. I couldn't access it because AT&T did not activate it with my new phone. So that same day, I went to AT&T and the guy assisting me informed me that there was something wrong with my voice mailbox and that everything including my SIM card was fine and that he "tested" it on another phone. So we called tech support from the store to try to figure out what the problem was. About 30 minutes later, this guy says that my voice mail should be up and working by the 16th of July. He said the problem was minor. So I didn't think much of it because it didn't seem like it was a big problem. What's a few days without my cellular mobile? Haaa....boy was I crazy or what!?
So the next day....my phone was making sudden changes like information....data....etc. Suddenly, a message popped up on my phone stating my SIM card was inactive. I completely lost my mind thinking my phone was f*cked up. I decided to call AT&T to see what the problem was and for an update on the status of my voice mail being fixed. The lady at tech support said my phone would be fixed way sooner than the 16th....I was excited! She said to give it 24 hours and everything would be working and when it's completed that they referring to "tech support" would give me a call to make sure everything was okay. She said my SIM card was somehow connected with my voice mail and that it wasn't recognizing it.
The 16th rolled around and you know I'd been pretty patient with the whole process. Still I hadn't heard anyone contacting me on my house phone....no messages....no missed calls....nothing. By 8pm, I gave those guys a ring and the lady whose name was Sally was really understanding. I explained to her my situation and that I wanted to know what was going on. She pulled up my information and asked for my SIM # to try to figure it out on her own. She came to a conclusion that I was suppose to get a new SIM card when that message popped and the tech assisting me was telling me crazy things. I was appalled! My voice mail wasn't working because my SIM card was not up-to-freakin-date! I had a 2G in the my new phone when I should've had a 3G SIM card!!! She even said the a-hole at AT&T should've informed me of that when I purchased my new phone. And as for the tech support, she didn't know how to explain them.
Minutes later, Sally apologized for the inconvenience and paid for my current cell phone bill. It was really generous of her. She called AT&T at the corporate office which was close to my home and explained to them that I needed a new SIM card at no cost and for them to set it up for me with my new phone. I was pleased with the service I received. Sally was nice, understanding, and went out of her way to assist me.
This morning, I went to AT&T and they programmed my phone for me and now my phone is currently working...YAY! After about a week, I now have a working cell phone. Thanks to Sally for clearing that all up for me. That goes to show that not all tech supports know what they're saying or doing. I've never had a problem like this before where I had the run-around. Ridiculous. Anyways, so that's the story with my phone. I apologize to those who have called and couldn't reach me. You can reach me now, anytime....anywhere! lols.
